DBA SQL Server (M/F)

Context

Mission

The mission will take place in a context of production of banking applications subject to strong competitive pressure and increasing security rules.
The mission consists of working within a production infrastructure DBA unit in charge of maintaining and designing DBMS solutions in order to support our customers with SQL Server technical expertise.

As a Production Infrastructure DBA you will perform the following activities in coordination with all IP entities:

• Maintaining the databases in the perimeter in good operational condition
• Participation in problem management, incident follow-up
• Design and implementation of common IS infrastructure components and tools
• Development of the technical repository on the DBMS perimeter
• Deployment of complex infrastructure components on behalf of application production
• Last level support on infrastructure components, tools and procedures used by application production and research teams
• Quality control of planned infrastructure and security procedures
• Contributing to the proper use of IS resources, proposing optimisations and maintaining the best level of performance
• Participation in operational monitoring in collaboration with application production and publishers in order to anticipate business needs
• Participation in the contingency plan by developing appropriate and scalable solutions while monitoring the compliance and operationality of the associated infrastructure
• Participation in DBA infrastructure on-call duty

Profile

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a new product or service, and will have a minimum of 10 years experience as a production DBA.

You are able to provide a high level of theory adapted to the reality of the field and in particular to new functionalities.
You have developed a strong taste for development in Python, SHELL and PL/SQL and are able to maintain and evolve existing tools.

Knowledge of Ansible Tower is essential


Additional skills in programming languages (java script, ajax, json, etc.) and other DBMS would be a plus.

You will also have good interpersonal and writing skills in order to produce, for example: incident summary documents, presentations on current or future developments, norms and standards or documentation concerning infrastructure tools for the various teams in the IT department.
Finally, you are known for your open-mindedness combined with your past experience in order to understand the challenges of the ongoing transformation of our business and not to consider other solutions than the automation of processes.

A fluent level of English is essential.
