The company have been engaged on the programme to create an innovative, state-of-the art platform which facilitates administration of single risk seriatim data and complies with data protection requirements.

This programme supports the ambition of the Life Division by harmonizing processes, replacing multiple isolated legacy tools and focusing the organization more value-add tasks.

For the purposes of this role, the key objectives (out of many) are:

  • Increase access to data and improve quality

  • Decrease operational risks
Contribute to the deployment of the Life Target application architecture

Mission

Product Owner Delegate in charge of roll-out and maintenance of claims & medical-underwriting modules

The Proxy Product Owner support the roll-out process of the Claims & Medical Underwriting solutions to the SCOR Life business units, and the maintenance activities once in Business As Usual (BAU) mode.

 

  • Product’s continuous enhancements and end user support activities:
    • Acquire skills required to become a hELIOS Claims, Medical-Underwriting referrals expert
    • Support Product Owner to manage Product backlog: gathers requirements and priorities for Product Owner, classify them into Epics, write User Stories
    • Support Product Owner to serve as Business Advisor
    • Manage the relationship with the technical Team (Automation Factiry) during Sprints
    • Establish and document appropriate methodologies, tools and processes to provide an efficient support to the Business
    • Animate the users community with Product Owner to contribute to the identification/assessment/documentation of new functionalities for Claims, Medical-Underwriting by having a pro-active relationship with the users.

 

  • Roll-Out activities:
    • Accountable to plan and manage the roll out of Medical-underwriting and Claim Assessment activities
    • Collect Business Requirements (which should be restricted to local specifics only) during workshops with Business people for each Business Unit within scope (Canada, Cologne, Italy, Spain, etc.), and assess the to be done from a technical perspective for deployment of both solutions
    • Work with other members of the Scrum Team ((Business Analysts, Automation Factory department) to analyze requirements and their impacts on the process to ensure consistency is kept all along the different roll outs
    • Assist Product Owner to create User Stories related to the deployment of one country
    • Take part to tests/validation of new deployments by creating test cases, organizing and facilitate UAT testing (User Acceptance Tests and Non Regression tests)
    • Manage change Management activities with product Owner: update documentation (e.g.: user guides), create and run trainings

 



Profile

Desirable Skills and competencies:

  • Product Owner/ Proxy Product Owner experience incl. 5 years’ experience, ideally on Life (re)insurance project / or Life (Re)Insurance operations

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience with large IT projects in Financial Services

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to act as both interface and facilitator with both Business Users and Technical Teams

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge of business & processes

  • Demonstrated ability to have a production/operational role on a project

  • Analytical mindset

  • Team player oriented / Collaborative spirit

  • Ability to adjust to varying or unexpected changing conditions and shifting priorities

  • Customer focused and results oriented
