To support one of our young subsidiaries in Canada, Anywr freelance is currently looking for a freelance Cybersecurity Architect (M/F) for a long term assignment.


As a Cybersecurity Architect, your day-to-day work will include :
  • Maintain the security of an organisation's computer system by designing, building, testing and implementing security systems within an organisation's computer network.
  • Review current system security measures and recommend and implement improvements.
  • Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
  • Develop project schedules for ongoing system upgrades.
  • Ensure that all staff members have access to the limited computer system according to their needs and role.
  • Implement disaster recovery procedures and conduct security breach exercises.
  • Respond quickly to all security incidents and provide in-depth post-event analysis.
  • Plan, research and design security architectures.
  • Develop, review and approve installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls and related network devices.
  • Researching and designing infrastructures for certification authorities and digital signatures, and ensuring that all staff members have limited IT access to suit their needs and role in the organisation.


You are known for your ability to progress within a team around common projects and you adapt easily to new environments. You have an advanced technical education with a minimum of 2 years post-secondary education and you have a minimum of 5 years experience in information security and IT risk management with :

  • Fluent French (mandatory) and fluent English (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Knowledge of system security including operating systems, database management systems, hardening concepts, global policy deployment, BYOD, NGAV, RDE and upgrade assessments.
  • TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) networking and the 7-layer OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model.
  • Experience in security of Windows and Unix systems.
  • Experience in the use of intrusion detection systems (IDS) and hardware and software firewalls.
  • Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management, with a focus on security, performance and reliability.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security.
  • Experience in implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies.
  • ISSAP, CISSP, CISA certification.
  • Experience with encryption protocols, including SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and the WPA (Wifi Protected Access) family.
  • Experience in the use of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies) process models.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing is essential
